Ministry of Home Affairs (GoI) today announced President’s Police Medal on the eve of 72nd Independence Day-2019. Seventy Six personnel from Jammu and Kashmir Police are among the 946 awardees which include one President’s Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG), 60 Police Medals forGallantry (PMG), and 15 Police Medals for Meritorious Service.

Director General of Police (DGP), Shri Dilbag Singh has congratulated the awardees and their families. In his message he has said thatthe Police organisation is proud of its gallant and meritorious officers and Jawans,who, by the dint of their valour and dedication in the field of public service have achieved the honour.

Shri Dilbag Singh has expressed hope that the awardees willcontinue their efforts in public service and garner more appreciations for theorganisation and the Nation as well. He has wished them more success andrecognition in future.

Police Medal for Meritorious Services have been awarded toSSP Rakesh Kumar Dhar, SSP Tejinder Singh, CPO Aejaz Ahmad, DySP DevinderSingh, Inspr. Zahid Hussain Mir, Inspr. Vishal Shoor, Inspr. Mohd Ashraf Bhat,SI Mohd Ashraf Padder, SI Mohinder Pal Ramdasi, ASI Tej Krishan Pandith, ASIMohd Sadiq, HC Abdul Hamid Mir, HC Tej Krishan, Sgct. Ravinder Singh and Sgct.Susheel Kumar.

Meanwhile, Inspector Syed Afaq Ahmad of J&K Police hasbeen awarded “Union Home Minister Medal for Excellence in Investigation” whichwas announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (GoI).
